Pablo Pessacq
Fly Fishing Guide • Patagonia Argentina
Passion For Patagonia
Born in La Plata, Pablo discovered fly fishing at the age of 17, beginning a lifelong passion for rivers, nature, and the outdoors. By the age of 20, he became a certified fly fishing instructor in casting and fly tying through the Fly Fishing Association.
After moving to Patagonia more than 20 years ago, he began guiding for dorado fishing and built a deep connection with Argentina’s rivers and ecosystems. Alongside his guiding career, he is also a biologist with a PhD in Natural Sciences, specialized in aquatic insect entomology — a field in which he has worked for many years. His scientific background brings a unique level of understanding to the water, insect life, and fish behavior that enriches every fishing experience.
He is married and a proud father of Isabella. Outside of guiding, he loves great coffee, red wine, and has a serious sweet tooth — especially when it comes to chocolate.
Passionate about nature and hospitality, Pablo truly enjoys sharing his knowledge, experience, and love for Patagonia with every angler who visits Argentina Waters.
