This past August, we had the pleasure of being part of the Ultimate Fly-Fishing Giveaway, together with Douglas Outdoors, Bent River, Feather Craft and Ultimate Rod Case.
The response was incredible. Thousands of anglers entered for the chance to win a collection of fly-fishing gear — and, of course, a fly-fishing trip with us here in Patagonia.
We are very grateful to everyone who participated, followed along, and discovered Argentina Waters through the giveaway.
Congratulations to our winners
The original giveaway winner, Brent Scott of Texas, accepted the gear portion of the prize. Due to personal circumstances, however, he was unable to use the Patagonia trip.
Because the trip was non-transferable, a new name was drawn specifically for the Argentina Waters experience.
We are now very excited to welcome our new trip winner to Patagonia during the upcoming season Alex & Kendra Loubere from Arizona.
For us, this is much more than simply giving away a fishing trip. It is the opportunity to introduce another angler to the landscapes, rivers, trout and hospitality that make this corner of Patagonia so special.
What awaits in Patagonia
Argentina Waters operates in Chubut Province, with two very different fly-fishing experiences.
At Le Fario, our guests fish the rivers and lakes of Los Alerces National Park and the Esquel–Trevelin region, targeting wild brown and rainbow trout in some of Patagonia’s most beautiful scenery.
Our Brookiland program takes anglers deeper into the Río Pico region, where trophy brook trout, rainbows and remote waters offer an entirely different experience.
Both programs are built around small groups, personalized fishing, exceptional meals and the relaxed atmosphere of a privately operated Patagonia lodge.
Thank you for being part of it
To everyone who entered the giveaway: thank you.
Many of you are now part of the Argentina Waters community, and we hope the giveaway was only the beginning.
We will continue sharing fishing reports, last-minute opportunities, lodge news and future giveaways throughout the season.
And yes — there will be more opportunities coming.
