Brian Devetak was born and raised in Esquel and has been part of the lodge team since 2020. A passionate angler and outdoorsman, Brian grew up surrounded by Patagonia’s rivers, lakes, and mountains, developing a love for fishing and fly tying from an early age.

Known for his calm personality, attention to detail, and deep knowledge of local waters, Brian brings both professionalism and genuine passion to every day on the river. He is extremely organized in all aspects of life, especially while guiding, always making sure guests feel comfortable, confident, and fully immersed in the experience.

Brian also loves capturing special fishing moments through photography and video, creating memories guests can take home long after their trip ends. Whether helping someone land their first trout or sharing techniques refined over years on the water, he enjoys every part of the guiding experience.

Outside of fishing, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and their beloved animals — five cats and Maia, their affectionate pitbull, who is famous enough to have her own birthday celebrations. A true Patagonian at heart, Brian can usually be found with a mate in hand, enjoying the outdoors and the simple rhythm of life in Patagonia.
