Laura Costilla

Massive experience on Patagonia!

Laura Costilla is the owner and host of the lodge, where she oversees reservations and guest services, ensuring every detail of each trip is carefully organized from the moment guests arrive in Argentina. Warm, attentive, and naturally welcoming, Laura is always present at the lodge, making guests feel at home and cared for throughout their stay.

Born in Buenos Aires, Laura earned a degree in Corporate Affairs before following her passion for pastry and culinary arts. She spent two years living in Paris, where she trained professionally as a pastry chef and deepened her appreciation for French cuisine, culture, and art. Fluent in both English and French, Laura brings an international perspective and refined hospitality style to the lodge experience.

Laura and Gonzalo were married in Paris in 2002, and together they embraced the adventure of moving to Patagonia to build the lodge from the ground up. She loved the idea of creating something unique in such a remote and beautiful part of the world — a place where hospitality, food, nature, and meaningful experiences could come together.

Known for her sense of humor and genuine ability to connect with people, Laura loves listening to guests’ stories as much as sharing her own. Guests quickly discover that she is always there for anything they may need, whether organizing travel details, preparing something special, or simply making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed.

Outside the lodge, Laura loves traveling, baking, and all kinds of crafts and artistic projects. She is also the proud mother of Felipe and Julia, both born and raised in Patagonia — what she considers her greatest accomplishment and favorite role in life. She especially loves baking cakes for them, their friends, and anyone lucky enough to gather around her table.
