Dorado is perhaps one of the most aggressive fish that exists in the world, and as such predator and smart, it is not an easy prey to capture.
The fishing season begins on March 15 and ends on December 15 each year.
Located in the Salta province, in northwest argentina, we fish in private properties, which manage lock from the nascent of Dorado, Seco and Del Valle rivers, up to 20 kilometers downstream. All these rivers are situated within a cordon of jungle of yungas that border with El Rey National Park.
The most important river than we fish is the Dorado river, surely the best river to fly fish golden dorado, Del Valle and Seco rivers, as well as the Juramento river to float. All programs of fisheries are located in an area of savage beauty, where you can find the most exciting fly fishing of browned as in any other place.
If we compare the fishing for golden dorado in other environments, we must conclude that in many places fisheries is "attractive", but in our environments of fishing, in which the fisherman has the possibility of fish huge "dorados" to "fish view," with light rods and WF lines, we still have to say that here fishing is unique.
The system of fishing we use is "catch & realese" in every place we fish. We use barbless hooks In this way we protect the environment while we promote the existence and development of native species so important to the ecological development in the area.
The environment that surrounds the rivers, enclaved in the jungle of yungas, makes the search for the great dorado an adventure, where the footprints of wild animals and the fly of exotic birds above our heads, will lead us to a trip that represents a challenge to the angler.
The challenge of fishing in crystalline waters leads us to transform us into a kind of hunters, therefore we must move carefully in each pool or running where we see a group of dorados stalking its prey. If we make a bad movement or a bad presentation of our fly "bye your money", surely these fish we won the battle and we canīt capture it.
Working as a team between angler and guide is very important, and this will make the difference between fishing and not fishing.
Regarding gear you will need rods # 6, 9", good quality reels, for # 6 rod, backing 50 to 100 mts., 20-25 lbs; floating lines (WF) or intermedia lines (WF); recommended saltwater lines (special lines for hot temperature months), leaders 20-25 lbs.
For clothing you will need: hat, fishing gloves, polarized sunglasses, neck buff, fishing long sleeve shirts & pants, footwear: wading shoes, good quality & no heavy (recommended simms boots), neoprene socks, small backpacker for carring fishing gear, lunch and water, raincoat jacket (gore tex), lantern.

The fishing season runs every year from January 1st to October 1st.
The Northern Parana is no doubt the better place that you can choose to catch
the dorado of your life. You can feel any second in each cast that your dorado trophy will get your fly. In motor boats we go down the river fishing in trees and drawn branches near the coasts and also in rocks very close from the water surface.
In this area, depending on the season, you can no only capture
Dorado but
pacus and
pira pitas, both very aggressive. You will be fishing in a wild incredible landscape, moving waters, branches, rocks that are usually holding a dorado waiting for his prey. The beautiful dawn gives an unforgettable background for this unique and incredible fishing.
For this fishing we use floating and sinking lines, rods #7 and #8.
Our staff will make everything possible to make your stay enjoy an excellent stay. Lodging is in an antique renewed house with two comfortable rooms, bathroom and dinning room. Every room has air conditioning and a very familiar ambient.
